We learned that only the sky is the limit, and don't accept anything less. Our life motto is: Often we are faced with struggles but struggles are what makes us shine.
Kenan was born from a wanted pregnancy during which we didn’t know about our little passenger chromosome extra. After his birth which happened earlier than expected a few more days passed, while my son and I are hospitalized separately, he in an incubator and I waiting for information knowing nothing about what doctors will reveal later to me.
Syndrome Down and that little extra that comes with it will become a little star in our everyday life. Today I think that Kenan has found a new part of me, I feel stronger standing stronger on my feet. Now I understand the beauty of small things in life and can fully understand the phrase: “stop and smell the roses”. This child is for me a gift from God. Many people can’t understand why every parent with a child with Down syndrome sees their kids as a very special gift but that is truly like that, he opens a new dimension of love. Kenan is a baby boy and with his 15 months, he can stand tightly on his feet. We learned that only the sky is the limit, and don’t accept anything less. Our life motto is: Often we are faced with struggles but struggles are what makes us shine.
